For the 11th time DAF Trucks has won accolades at the prestigious Motor Transport Awards, held last night at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. This year DAF again carried off the Fleet Truck of the Year trophy, an incredible eighth time this has been won by the DAF CF 85, or its predecessors.

“We know the CF 85 is the truck of choice for many of Britain’s fleet operators – but it’s really great to have further recognition of the truck’s attributes and indeed our entire dealer network”, said Stuart Hunt, Managing Director of DAF Trucks Ltd.

“This year our Awards submission focused on the ‘green’ credentials of the truck, and indeed of the entire DAF range, which is now available at Euro 5, 18 months ahead of the legislative deadline.  It’s significant that at the time of increasing concerns for fuel costs and the environment - the DAF CF 85 has been named as British’s top fleet truck in these operator-judged Awards, signifying DAF’s continuing ability to provide a workhorse which is not only highly productive but also meets the most stringent environmental standards as well”, said Mr Hunt.
