LANCASHIRE DAF WIN TRANSPORT AWARD FROM WARBURTONS

Lancashire DAF has won a prestigious transport award from leading family bakers Warburtons.
Mark Sutcliffe, Warburtons National Transport Manager selected Lancashire DAF as worthy winners from a shortlist of five nominees from across the UK.
He commented, “DAF Trucks have always offered a professional and competent service. Their people respond in a timely manner and are innovative and forward thinking in everything they do. It gives us great pleasure to honour them with this award, which is richly deserved and say thanks for their support.”
Responding on behalf of Lancashire DAF, Paul Entwistle Sales Director said “We are proud to have been supplying vehicles to Warburtons for over 25 years. They work very closely with Lancashire DAF and DAF Trucks in evaluating new technology and are always willing to support both companies. Their detail to specification is thorough which benefits both driver appeal and the environment, they are very aware of the legislation and industry standards and set their goals beyond these parameters.”
Bolton’s favorite family bakers recognised Lancashire DAF’s contribution alongside four other ‘best in class’ suppliers at a conference and ceremony recently.
Themed to ‘inspire’ and to celebrate the partnership culture with suppliers, which has seen Warbutons rise to the number two fmcg brand in the country, the event held every two years is an opportunity to bring suppliers together, reflect on great performances and share the company’s goals for the future.
Warburtons Executive Director, Brett Warburton, said that the gathering of suppliers – some of whom have been working with the company for over 50 years – was designed to inform, motivate and celebrate best practice.
“We are lucky to have many superb partners, who consistently make outstanding contributions to the ongoing growth and development of the business. Lancashire DAF is one of those suppliers. This event marks that contribution and will help us plan for the future together.”
